THE US PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION 2004
KN Rao
In the unipolar world, with the absolute dominance of USA
, the coming elections of November 2004 interests all nations
of the world including US citizens who seem to be clearly
polarised between "soft" Americans voting for
Democrats and "hard" Americans voting for Republicans.
As to the Muslim world, it would be interested in seeing Bush
defeated because, as some Muslims have said, for them "Bush
is the worst terrorist of the world."
This image of Bush has astrological foundation because like
India Gandhi, Bush has karka lagna with Saturn in it and a
vargottama Mars, the tenth lord in the second House. Then
those who accuse him of having Hitler-like streaks too are
not wrong because the gajakesari yoga in the third
house of the horoscope of Bush aspected by Saturn resembles
the gajakesari yoga of Hitler in the third house with Ketu. What
then are the chances of Bush or Kerry winning in the coming
elections? It was difficult to decide as I still do not
have a verified horoscope of Kerry and Edwards.
As to Bush and Cheney, their horoscopes were discussed in
the last elections of 2000 and have been accepted as authentic
without any dispute.I waited till the end of August and when
I did not get confirmed horoscope of Kerry, I decided to look
into the horoscope of Cheney, the vice president and came
to my own conclusion which I discussed on the jyotish list
thus:

On the basis of the horoscope of Cheney, which is available,
are not things better for Republicans ? Some of you who have
the data can give your opinion. Kerry's horoscope is not
outstanding. Bush has more strength with his vargottama tenth
lord. The transits are slightly unfavourable. Some polls
which will come now can reveal something more reliable I hope.
But it seems to me that Republicans will have a second
term now. My inference is based on the thin data of Cheney's
horoscope.

Subject:[jyotish-list] Are Republicans better placed
?
Date: Fri, 03 Sep 2004 22:57:10 IST
From a quick and cursory glances of the horoscopes of the
vice presidential candidates of Republicans and Democrats,
it appears to me that Republicans are better placed. Will
it help Bush I wonder. I will examine in the next few days
when I have time and write about it.
Yours,

Then one can see the astrological analysis of the these horoscopes
as made available. Kerry seems to be an idealist and
liberal. Is that what appeals to US voters compared to
the "terrorist" Bush?
a) In Kerry's horoscope the Jupiterian influence is noticeable.
In in the tenth house from lagna and Sun and also aspects
the tenth house from exalted Moon. Jupiter of course is aspected
by Mars and Saturn .
b) Aspects of Mars and Saturn on this Jupiter tempers his
gajakesari yoga with some aggression and mass appeal which
is necessary to win elections in a democracy.
c) What is least appealing in the horoscope of Kerry is the
presence of Saturn in the eighth house aspected by the eighth
and the eleventh lord, Mercury. It does promise an element
of surprise but it does not appear to be strong enough to
ensure his entry into the White House.
d) The transit of Saturn which becomes crucial on such occasion
is weak in sarvastaka with only twenty four positive points.
e) The Vimshottari dasha at the time of

election of Mercury, the eighth lord has done him a favour
of bringing him out of semiobscurity into biggest limelight.
But it does not appear to be strong enough to ensure victory
for him.
f) In the case of both Bush and Kerry Dasha at the time of
elections in November 2004
Vimshottari Mercury-Mercury-Mars
Chara dasha Acqarius- Virgo-Gemini
Dwisaptati Mercury-Mars-Venus
Sarvastaka
Karka 24
Kanya 32
Dwisaptati Sama Dasha becomes applicable. In this dasha,
Kerry will be running the mahadasha of Mercury and the antardasha
of Mars and the pratyantara dasha of Venus at the time of
elections which is not showing any strong chances of his sweeping
the elections. On 2 November, the day the fate of the current
US elections will be decided, Kerry's tenth lord, Sun will
be debilitated in the twelfth house from his lagna and Moon
will be in Mithuna, the eighth house from the lagna. Both are
highly unfavourable.
The comparison of the horoscope with that Indira Gandhi and
Hitler has been referred to already.
Does this image appeal to the American voters who are said
to be afraid of spreading terrorism all over the world and
Al Quaeda like threats increasingly ? If yes, he is the man
of destiny in our unipolar world dividing the world clearly
between Muslims and the rest of the world. Ketu in the
fifth house of Bush aspected by Mars is also showing his obsessive
mind.
Indira Gandhi achieved her best in Saturn mahadasha but did
not live long enough till its end as Rahu in the sixth from
both her lagna and Saturn proved fatal in her case. In the
case of Bush Saturn-Rahu was the period of his first
election to the post of the president and now in Saturn-Jupiter,
his sixth and ninth lord involved also in a gajakesari
yoga, and in the third house, his mood to fight for another
term has strength and valour in it.
c) In dwisaptati sama dasha which also applies to
his horoscope, he will be running Jupiter in the third house
involved in gajakesari yoga and the antardasha of Sun, the
second lord from his birth lagna but in the tenth house from
the mahadsha lord, Jupiter.
d) In Chara dasha, it will be Tula, Mesha and Kumbha
from where amatyakaraka, Jupiter falls in the eighth house.
It is not favourable and can also mean some episode of disgrace
which will not be good for his reputation.
e) Saturn in Karka with strong thirty two positive
points, unlike Kerry's weak one is very hightly favourable
during the time of elections.
f) Bush thus seems to be making a strong bid for a second
term with a good chance of succeeding.
But the change of the dasha from Saturn to Mercury in
the case of Bush clearly shows

that tragedy awaiting him from the middle of 2006.
As it is, the present period does not appear to be favourable
for his father, the senior Bush.
But in the meantime, Bush seems to be the favorite of his
destiny to wreak more damage on the Muslim countries of western
Asia. On the anniversary of 11 September a commentary in
Arab press was""The events of September 11,
which cost some 3000 lives, were transformed

into a sword hanging over the heads of 300 million Arabs,
who are not guilty of any crime and did not step on the Americans'
toes."
A re-elected Bush will prove to the Muslim world, particularly
Iran and Syria, that it is not WMD that USA has failed to
discover but that these countries have not discovered WBD--Weapons
of Bush Destruction and have to suffer for another four years.
In this context it is worthwhile remembering that in the
horoscope of USA with Simha lagna, the dasha of Moon in the
seventh house will run for another seven years and will show
its greater entanglements in wars. Bush has started it and
is likely to carry it further.
