KASHMIR (Updated)
Today, 5 August 2019 has become a historic day in our history as something which could not be done in 70 years has taken shape now. Union Home minister Amit Shah has announced that Article 370 which grants special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir will be scrapped. He also announced that Jammu and Kashmir will no longer be a state and it will be bifurcated into two Union Territories— Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.  read more...read more...
WITHERING AWAY OF CONGRESS PARTY
Is ours an ideal democracy!! Hardly so, it is far from being an ideal democracy; where there should be  two equal opponents, like Conservative and Labour party in Britain; like Republican and Democratic party in USA. As for India, for the two major parties here i.e. Congress and BJP there has never been a state of relative equilibrium. There was a time when Congress was all powerful for a long time, BJP had not come into existence then. BJP came into existence and gradually spread its wings and the status now of present election result on 23 May 2019 is that BJP alone bagged 303 seats and 353 seats along with its NDA Alliance. Congress on the other hand could muster only 52 seats; along with UPA, Congress got 91. Other parties won 98 seats. What to talk of equality, Congress party could not win even 55 seats which is the requisite 10 % to become the official opposition. read more...read more...

DISASTER OR BETTER DAYS FOR DELHI

An article of mine appeared in Hindi in the RSS controlled Panchanjayna (15 February 2015) but remember that I do not belong to any political party or to RSS.

Then they wanted to know if I had written anything about Delhi elections. I referred them to https://www.journalofastrology.com/- IS DELHI AWAITING SAFFRON SWEEP.  Someone in that office saw the last paragraph - ” IT THEN APPEARS, MODI WAVE OR NO WAVE, THE BJP IS SET TO FORM THE GOVERNMENT IN DELHI IN FEBRUARY 2015 THOUGH SOME POLL SURVEYS GIVE AN EDGE TO AAP AND ARVIND KEJRIWAL STILL A HERO FOR MANY LOWER CLASS PEOPLE OF DELHI AS IS BEING SAID BY MY FRIENDS. (Jan 21, 2015, 11PM)

Note: I still do not know if the horoscope of the Aam Aadmi Party used here is correct.
Note: The birth time of Kiran Bedi was corrected by reducing it by one minute. “

The intelligence of the journalist of Panchajanya vs stupid astrologers
They said they wanted an astrological prediction not an observation. APPEARS here is not astrological conclusion was their objection. That journalist who saw it was more intelligent in his reaction than some astrologers who thought that I was making an astrological judgement. Anyway Panchajanya refused to use as it was not an astrological prediction.

Party Horoscope vs Party Horoscope
I was then asked why had I not discussed it astrologically. I explained that in a democratic set up elections is a contrasting study for prediction about the outcome of a contest between TWO OR MORE POLITICAL PARTIES. Here I had a doubtful party horoscope of the AAP and none of the Delhi BJP. Therefore there cannot be an astrological contrasting analysis of two or more political parties as I had done in January 2013 when I predicted the victory of BJP for the general elections of 2014 seventeen months in advance by making a contrasting studies of two national parties, the Congress and the BJP.

For drawing a sound conclusion for an electoral battle in a democratic country what we need is the horoscope of two political parties is what I must repeat always ad nauseam as many dull witted astrologers do not understand this basic element of modern mundane astrology.

Recently one person wrote to me asking idiotically why could not the horoscope of Arvind Kejriwal in which he saw many rajayogas alone be sufficient. I cannot keep on educating such people by repeating that we are not in a presidential elections of a republic but a democratic election when hundreds of people of one party contest against hundreds of others. Such a collectivity is shown in party horoscopes only. Rajayogas in the horoscope of a party leader, if they are to fructify, can mean even leader of opposition or some other high position. There is no mention in any astrological book of combination for a chief minister or the prime minister. It is left to astrologers to infer it logically..

See it one by one.
Kiran Bedi
It appears that her birth time needs rectification without changing her lagna. It was collected by a woman student in the last century. I have not rectified the time of birth.

Kejriwal
I will not change his lagna though the Vrisha lagna horoscope is in currency. There may be again some time rectification only here also.
This horoscope also shows health problems which can increase. The veil of idealism behind which he had concealed his political ambitions have already led him to compromise with his proclaimed principles for which Shanti Bhushan, the patron saint of AAP has attacked him three four times already openly.

Kejriwal, AAP - Horoscopes - Journal of Astrology

First Meeting
This was used in an article of Sundar Balakrishna, himself a member of AAP in the Saptarshi and seems to show clearly why the 49 days government ot Arvind Kejriwal was a disaster as it happened in Venus Venus Jupiter in the sixth house and the agitations and resignation later is clearer here.

Second Meeting
Salil Jogi, a former student of ours and younger brother of Ajit Jogi, a former chief minister of Chattisgarh, told me that he had attended a meeting of the AAP
himself first on 24 November 2013 at 11 am and that should be used as the correct horoscope.
I have not tested it.

Registration of the Party
Salil Jogi also said that at least this could be used This argument is sound and this horoscope can be tested over a period of time to see if it works.

This horoscope is being used generally. In its present pratyantara of Rahu followed by Jupiter both influnced by the  eighth lord Sun will be interesting to
watch as the
AAP manifesto promises heaven in a short time like what Jihadis are promised in jannat.

Remember without the horoscope of the Delhi BJP you cannot explain its worst ever performance in Delhi elections and near annihilation.

Prashant Bhushan has also done that now. Can they, insiders, be wrong and can we ignore them ? These tendencies are visible in the horoscope used here. Yet, if the horoscope is unchanged, the combination of Jupiter with two benefics in the lagna one of them the tenth lord and Jupiter aspecting the tenth lord from Moon is surely showing the intention of Kejriwal to do good work for public good. If his colleagues are idealistic and if as the chief minister of Delhi with very limited powers he can function well, he can yet achieve something praiseworthy within these limitations. He will then need good luck and good health.

But here there being no combination of the lagna lord with the tenth lord, he will get crippled by some factors not known yet. Still, he gets the credit for stirring a new thinking in the national life on positive lines of idealism. But, again assuming the lagna to be correct, the combination of the twelfth lord with debilitated Saturn and in exchange with the ninth lord tells its own story of rumour of “foreign” inspiration and ??? and the aspect of Jupiter also the eighth lord has a “hidden” story needing unravelling. The impossible freebies he has offered in this elections to lure the voters is an unscrupulous method of enticing voters.”Last July, the Indian Supreme Court ruled the giveaways were not technically corrupt, but "distribution of freebies of any kind, undoubtedly, influences all people. It shakes the root of free and fair elections to a large degree.” (YahooNews Election season in India comes with freebies Associated Press, By ASHOK SHARMA February 12, 2014 )

Delhi BJP
In the absence of the horoscope of the Delhi wing of the BJP, it is impossible to know why it suffered such a rout. To give a prediction without it was only a GUESS as I had to resort to towards the end of my article by saying IT APPEARS. When two team parties are clashing and it was well known that the Congress party was not in contention, to make a prediction with any assurance would again make astrologers “guessologists”.

The Horoscopes of AAP
Now there is a better question to be settled by intelligent astrologers through experiment. I have with me by now four horoscopes of AAP This created many problems.

The first horoscope
A meeting of AAP was held on 26 November 2012 at 10 am and it has been used by Sundar Balakrishnan , a qualified astrologer from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai holding 2-year Jyotirvid and 3-year Jyotirvisharad. He is also a graduate in Commerce and MBA-Finance from NMIMS, Mumbai. He practices all schools of Astrology and KP Astrology in particular. From Saptarshi website.

The Future of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)
By Sundar Balakrishnan, India - Editor: Maurício Avila, Brazil
AAM AADMI - (AAP) Party. Founded on November 26, 2012 at 10:00 am in Delhi. Mr. Sundar Balakrishnan is a member of AAP and he even fought in the general elections of 2014.Can this horoscope be used ? If yes why and if not why not.

I wanted to know what his source of information was and his answer given through Sunil John is this:

Dear Sir
Sundar’s message to me was that he is an integral part of AAP team so he knows the time.
Regards,
Saptarishis Astrology

Sundar is an astrologer . He insists that the time he has given as 10 am is correct even now on 12 February 2015. Someone has to test though I have not used it yet. Yet, he himself has used in his website the horoscope also of 12 noon also. The later article was written on 05 Sep 2014 (http://jupiterastrology.com/

The second horoscope
Salil Jogi, a former student of ours and younger brother of Ajit Jogi, a former chief minister of Chattisgarh, told me that he had attended a meeting of the AAP himself on 24 November 2012 and that should be used as the correct horoscope.

That is given here.

====================================
This information complicates the situation as Jogi an astrologer himself also attended the
meeting as he says but gives 10 am and also 11 am besides the meeting of 12 noon one of which should be tried. AAP is a fledging party and enthusiastic astrologers keen on doing scientific astrology should preserve this information to test which of the so many horoscopes really works over a period five to ten years. Such an exercise will be useful as electoral battles are there to stay to with us so long as we have democracy in India. A stray hit or miss prediction succeeding is not the test. Such predictions make astrologers “guessologists” .

How such a study is done and conclusion drawn is given in my article on my website www.journalofastrology.com from where some excerpts are given here.

INDIAN ELECTIONS 2013 - 2014
KN RAO

Congress Party Horoscope
Coming to the horoscope of the Congress Party, it is now passing through the mahadasha of Jupiter and the antardasha of Saturn in which between February and July it will be the pratyantara dasha of Rahu is a clear indication of some tragedy and heart searching. The party is not regaining power in this period or even later when general elections will be declared. It is facing insurmountable
problems in the antardasha of Saturn and in the next antardasha of Mercury; it will have to remain content with the role of an opposition party only.

BJP Horoscope
The BJP is now running through the mahadasha of Sun the third lord in the tenth house in exchange with Jupiter the tenth lord. ...It can therefore be surmised that in the next coalition it is the NDA government that will be formed at the center with BJP joining it in a prominent way. (24 January 2013)

I wanted to make a similar study for Delhi elections and I did not have the horoscopes of Delhi BJP branch. There are different horoscopes of AAP cast on the basis of the time given by those who know astrology and insist that they having attended the meetings of AAP alone had the correct time. I have never made any predictions about state elections for this reason as no reliable horoscopes of contesting parties ,mostly regional , is ever available along with those of the branches of national parties.

So also here I concluded by saying IT APPEARS.

Keep in the mind some discussions like the following till at least next two years.

Delhi polls: AAP manifesto is flight of fancy out of sync with economic realities - by R Jagannathan Feb 2, 2015

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has fallen into the trap of believing that offering 1,000 promises is better than focusing on the one or two things that really matter in an election. ....it will demand full statehood for Delhi, seek control of the Delhi Police (now under the home ministry), and run the city-state with the help of nearly 3,000-3,500 mohalla sabhas (each comprising around 500-1,000 households). It will build Delhi’s own power plant, create 500 new schools and 20 new colleges, quadruple the number of secondary and tertiary public hospital
beds, recruit 4,000 doctors and 15,000 paramedics, build two lakh public toilets, invest in public transport, and generally abolish contract labor
everywhere. In other words, Arvind Kejriwal plans to build a socialist paradise in Delhi at huge cost... In a 42-page manifesto, the question of how all this extravaganza is going to be funded gets almost no mention. The only indication that AAP will somehow try and marry finite resources with infinite promises comes towards the end, where it solves the equation with two glib statements. For example, AAP wants control of the Delhi police. Let’s assume, the centre agrees to hand it over. But will Delhi be able to bear the annual cost of over Rs 5,000 crore to run this police force, when its overall budget is just Rs 36,700 crore, a significant chunk of which is already being devolved to the New Delhi Municipal Corporation, and the three constituents of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi? It is unlikely the centre will both hand over control of the police and the money to run it. Kejriwal will have to find his own funds.
=================================
Remember Washington DC in USA and Canberra is Australia are like Delhi controlled by the national government and do not enjoy full statehood. Remember that already some jokes are circulating Do the following exercise for the next two years to watch the performance of the AAP government for at least two years and see which one works. It should not be done with jumbled logic. The reason for saying this is: Jokes are circulating-

Respected Sir
AAP has 1825 days to keep their promises of
- 500 new schools
- 20 new colleges
- 1500000 CCTV cameras
- 200000 public toilets
So at an average,
- a school to be started in every 3.65 days
- a college to be started in every 91.25 days
- a CCTV to be installed in every 2 mins
- a public toilet to be build in every 13 mins
All this will be funded by 50% cut in electricity tariff, VAT reduction, free water and WiFi....
I m up for the ride..

M. Singhal

Re read the manifesto of the AAP and keep watching and keep listening to such observations for the next six months at least. Make no prediction till you have decided which of the horoscopes given here works. Remember that Mr. Sundar Balakrishnan insists that time he uses is correct and it is 10 am though he himself later used 12 mid day also. Delhi elections 2015: Prashant Bhushan questions  Kejriwal on candidate selection-
TNN | Jan 24, 2015
NEW DELHI: Senior AAP leader Prashant Bhushan on Saturday questioned party chief Arvind Kejriwal over AAP's candidate selection, Times Now reported. ..Bhushan also reportedly said that he had been told about senior AAP members Manish Sisodia and Ashutosh selling some seats for Rs 2 crore. The party claimed that a candidate who had recently been changed had made this charge.”

Shanti Bhushan attacks Kejriwal again, accuses him of accepting 'tainted money'
PTI | Feb 11, 2015, 06.35 PM IST
NEW DELHI: Notwithstanding AAP's stupendous victory in the Delhi assembly polls, the party's founder-member Shanti Bhushan on Wednesday attacked Arvind Kejriwal yet again, accusing him of accepting "tainted" money and giving tickets to candidates who were prepared to buy votes. He also alleged that the AAP chief had "abandoned" all principles of inner party democracy and asked the party to "apply course correction" and come back to the path of clean politics. Later, he told reporters that he was not happy with the party's spectacular win in the elections, saying the electorate did not apply their mind to the allegations.

====================================
The patron saint of AAP is questioning the AAP whether it could ever fight against corruption now with such a taint sticking to it. What are we waiting for in Delhi then--- better days or disaster created by impossible promises and cataclysmic disillusionment ? Summer is approaching and we need both bijli and paani. Kejriwal had left his newly acquired power in Delhi last year to pursue the chimera of the post of the prime minister after only 49 days. This year and next he may run after “brides” of Bihar, Bengal, Tamilnadu and U.P. where elections are due. If that happens he will be described as “Mad, bad and dangerous to know." like Byron ?
