KASHMIR (Updated)
Today, 5 August 2019 has become a historic day in our history as something which could not be done in 70 years has taken shape now. Union Home minister Amit Shah has announced that Article 370 which grants special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir will be scrapped. He also announced that Jammu and Kashmir will no longer be a state and it will be bifurcated into two Union Territories— Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.  Číst více...Číst více...
WITHERING AWAY OF CONGRESS PARTY
Is ours an ideal democracy!! Hardly so, it is far from being an ideal democracy; where there should be  two equal opponents, like Conservative and Labour party in Britain; like Republican and Democratic party in USA. As for India, for the two major parties here i.e. Congress and BJP there has never been a state of relative equilibrium. There was a time when Congress was all powerful for a long time, BJP had not come into existence then. BJP came into existence and gradually spread its wings and the status now of present election result on 23 May 2019 is that BJP alone bagged 303 seats and 353 seats along with its NDA Alliance. Congress on the other hand could muster only 52 seats; along with UPA, Congress got 91. Other parties won 98 seats. What to talk of equality, Congress party could not win even 55 seats which is the requisite 10 % to become the official opposition. Číst více...Číst více...

INDIAN ELECTION 2014: THEREBY HANGS A TALE

Someone asked me a question what is my prediction about the results of elections with only three legs left. Then someone even said that I was keeping silent and not venturing out to predict this time. All this is wrong because I made my prediction in January 2013---LET ME REPEAT THAT I MADE MY PREDICTION IN JANUARY 2013 before any poll survey came out. WHAT WAS MY PREDICTION ? Here it is reproduced fully. KN Rao
                   --------------------------------------------------------

“An article of mine on the great Indian leader, Jai Prakash Narayan whom I will refer to as J.P. appeared in the January 19 strological Magazine. It was written one year before the General Elections of 1989 in which this prediction was clearly made, when no one had yet expected the Congress (I) party of Rajiv Gandhi, to be defeated. ..... As I write this (14 September, 1988), Jupiter is in Taurus, which according to my own research in mundane astrology brings about, post-independence India, radical changes in the central government, and then as Saturn prepares to move into Poorvashadha , the two major planets will transform the national political scene, through a poll, not a revolution but a poll which will have the   of a revolution through a ballot.

Jupiter was last in Taurus in 1977, when something of a revolution through ballot had taken place; earlier transiting between Aries and Gemini, this planet, Jupiter, had taken away Nehru, brought in Lal Bahadur Shastri, whose brief tenure ended tragically and then came in Indira . Now Jupiter is there again and I remember J.P. on this occasion, particularly when Saturn is preparing to effectuate the classical “Chattra Bhanga Yoga”.

Jupiter was in Taurus when V.P. Singh formed his government and the Congress party sat in opposition in 1989. Jupiter is in Taurus these days again and the mood of the nation, though the elections are still nearly ten to fifteen months away, may  be swinging against the present coalition UPA II in power at the center. What appears clear is that Congress party will find it difficult to return to power at the center for the third time to form a government.

But before that one should look at the New Year horoscope of 2013 which is warning to the central and state governments as the disasters visible with the concentration of planets in the eight house show.

This will be analyzed later but suffice it to say that we have a difficult year to face now. Notable in this horoscope if a bad exchange of the tenth lord Venus with the eighth lord Jupiter which is showing a terrible upset for the government in power.  Elections will be held either during this period or at any rate the parliament will be dissolved and elections declared during the operation of this horoscope.

Along with these disasters, the country will have to be prepared for a change in the central Government and the digging up of all those cases which have been suppressed now and are not being investigated. Let some notable points be seen in this horoscope:

1) India has not known tsunami disasters as Japan has. But this year, India can fear a devastating earthquake followed by a tsunami.
2) Mass deaths visible in this horoscope will be caused also by some disease which may be a water borne disease.
3) The state governments and the government will be found wanting in coping with these disasters leading to mass disillusionment demanding a change in the government.
4) Corruption which is the burning issue in the election everywhere now apart, the issue of the protection of women is becoming a national issue in the election after the most publicized Delhi rape case of 16 December 2012.
5) In the Indian Republican horoscope (not given here) the Mahadasha of Jupiter in the eleventh house is a period of some good law coming in this period and such measures as will protect women.

Congress Party Horoscope

Coming to the horoscope of the Congress Party, it is now passing through the mahadasha of Jupiter and the antardasha of Saturn in which dasha of Rahu is a clear indication of some tragedy and heart searching. The party is not regaining power in this period or even later when general elections will be declared. It is facing insurmountable problems in the antardasha of Saturn and in the next antardasha of Mercury; it will have to remain context with the role of an opposition party only.

BJP Horoscope

The BJP is now running through the mahadasha of Sun the third lord in the tenth house in exchange with Jupiter the tenth lord. Jupiter the tenth lord is involved in conjunction with Saturn, Rahu and Mars because of which this party has never been able to form a government without many coalition partners in the period between 1998 and 2004. This party may never be able to form a single party government as the Congress party had for many years since independence of India.

In its Sun dasha it is again nearing the power center in a coalition. It can therefore surmised that in the next coalition it is the NDA government that will be formed at the center with BJP joining it in a prominent way. (24 January 2013)

Subsequent events

Subsequent to this the AAJ TAK channel came to me in June on the 10th  or 11 2013 with the horoscope of Narendra Modi and asked me to predict. I said first worry about a terrible disaster in the month of June 2013 and not about Modi and it was also reproduced in the Mail Today issue later.

On 15/16 June came the terrible Kedarnath disaster.

THE DEBACLE OF THE CONGRESS PARTY K.N.Rao. 11 December 2013, 4:49 PM

After this there was no need for me to make any more predictions. The events that took place subsequently were :
1. Rajnath became the president of the BJP.
2. Narendra Modi became the presidential nominee of the BJP.

In Vimshottari mahadasha the period in the middle of May will be: Moon Jupiter Mercury all of which are favourable for his forming a government at the centre as the prime minister.

: I have not verified this horoscope but I have been assured about its correctness.

In Chara dasha It will be Mesha Mesha Tula from 15 May when the results of elections will come out. AK and Amk fall into excellent eleventh house here in the birth chart.
In the navamsha and dashamansha the Amatyakaraka is again placed from Tula.
So on this horoscope ( if it is correct) I have no doubt of Modi becoming the prime minister.I tried to get the horoscope of Narendra Modi and the one I got from someone reliable. If this horoscope is correct, as it seems to be after a quick verification of some known events of the life of Modi, he is passing through Moon Jupiter Mercury at the time of elections all favourably placed in the three charts given, the birth chart, the navamsha and the dashamansha. I need not elaborate
it here.

After 15 May 2014 when the election results will be known it will be Mesha Mesha Tula with the Amatyakaraka aspecting the tenth house from Mesha and in the eleventh house from Tula.

It can be seen in many ways also. I discuss it with many details in my class rooms but in the website writings I avoid most of it , including the discussion of many divisional charts to avoid cumbersome technical discussions.

Note: My prediction is based on the correctness of the horoscope of Modi which I have been assured is correct.

BJP
This party runs into favourable Sun (in the tenth house) Jupiter (the tenth lord) Jupiter dashas in May 2014. The mahadasha in Chara dasha is Kumbha with Amatyakaraka in the tenth house and in May the pratyantara dasha will be of Vrischika with Moon Amatyakaraka is in the tenth house. But with as many as four planets, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and Rahu in the tenth house from here there is a clear indication of a coalition government which is the base of the NDA as we have known.

Will the government will be stable ?

There is every indication of the government being stable but the insurmountable problems it faces because of other factors visible in the Indian horoscope and the Saturn Rahu conjunction with Mars joining it, retrograding back in Kanya and re-joining it are frightening enough. There are many factors known, rumoured and discussed privately which cannot be disclosed in an article.I will refrain from
doing that here.

How many seats a political party will get and will be the total of NDA falls outside the domain of the astrological computations, as far as I know. One should keep in mind the latest poll survey given by NDTV which is as follows.

NDTV
Lok Sabha Elections 2014 - NDTV opinion poll: BJP and allies cross 272 mark NDTV.com | Updated: April 14, 2014 23:43 IST
NDTV's latest opinion poll shows the BJP and its allies collecting 275 seats, three more than needed to form the government. The BJP, led by prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, gets 226 seats, the party's strongest performance ever and a very long way from the two it had won in 1984.
