KASHMIR (Updated)
Today, 5 August 2019 has become a historic day in our history as something which could not be done in 70 years has taken shape now. Union Home minister Amit Shah has announced that Article 370 which grants special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir will be scrapped. He also announced that Jammu and Kashmir will no longer be a state and it will be bifurcated into two Union Territories— Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.  En savoir plus...En savoir plus...
WITHERING AWAY OF CONGRESS PARTY
Is ours an ideal democracy!! Hardly so, it is far from being an ideal democracy; where there should be  two equal opponents, like Conservative and Labour party in Britain; like Republican and Democratic party in USA. As for India, for the two major parties here i.e. Congress and BJP there has never been a state of relative equilibrium. There was a time when Congress was all powerful for a long time, BJP had not come into existence then. BJP came into existence and gradually spread its wings and the status now of present election result on 23 May 2019 is that BJP alone bagged 303 seats and 353 seats along with its NDA Alliance. Congress on the other hand could muster only 52 seats; along with UPA, Congress got 91. Other parties won 98 seats. What to talk of equality, Congress party could not win even 55 seats which is the requisite 10 % to become the official opposition. En savoir plus...En savoir plus...

IS DELHI AWAITING A SAFFRON SWEEP?

In the continuous talk about the Narendra Modi wave since the unprecedented success of the BJP in the general elections of 2014 when it got a majority of its own in states after states, this party has been making its presence felt in many other states due to go to polls in coming years.

If during that period (2014) it had taken a decision to go to polls in Delhi, it would have been an easy task to capture Delhi also in that sweep is what people are saying. By declaring elections in February 2015,
giving a chance to Aam Aadmi Party of Arvind Kejriwal to stage a spectacular comeback, people in Delhi are speculating if the BJP’s sweep will be over and AAP will form a government again as it had done earlier for only 49 days. Two poll surveys reputed to be very accurate because they had given a clear majority to the BJP in the last general elections are not favoring BJP at the time of writing this piece (21 January 2015 at 11 pm).

New Delhi: With 33 seats Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is getting an upper edge in neck to neck contest for Delhi Assembly, according to News Nation’s inhouse opinion poll.
======================================
Two proteges of Anna Hazare are fighting it out, for the post of the Chief Minister of  Delhi. Both are being called pretenders who had successfully concealed their political
ambitions by getting projected on the stage created by Anna , earlier Kejriwal and now Bedi. Anna Hazare himself, an honest non political crusader, is reported to be very unhappy with both of them.

The television channels mostly with their headquarters in Delhi have been debating it hotly as though it were national elections. Delhi lives at the cost of India is the general accusation as the budget of many local bodies of Delhi is more than that of many smaller states of India. Falling into that pattern is the publicity Delhi receives in smallest matters, be it a crime or a political gimmick or now the elections.

For astrological purposes four horoscopes can be examined, the first of the two political parties, the BJP and the AAP as no one is giving the Congress party as chance even to get six out of the 70 seats being contested. The other horoscopes are that of Kejriwal and Bedi , the first authentic.

How the horoscope of Kiran Bedi was got will be explained later.

I have discussed the horoscope of the BJP many times and it is absolutely authentic. I have two horoscopes of the AAP but the one being used by all is what I am using , not the other one though I was assured by someone that the other horoscope was more authentic.

AAP: AAP emerged out as a regional, essentially a Delhi party and it can be used here for the prediction. The party will be running Venus Moon Rahu period all well placed in the birth horoscope it would appear. The crucial Rahu pratyantara dasha is enigmatic here, being aspected by the eighth lord Sun the third and twelfth lord Jupiter.

In the navamsha Rahu goes into the twelfth house while in the Dashamansha it is with Jupiter aspected by Mars and Venus giving it a fighting chance but success eluding it still it appears.

The horoscope of the BJP: Personally I am of the opinion that the horoscope of a national party should not be used for predictions about the results of the state elections.

In the absence of the horoscope of the date of the formation of the Delhi branch of the BJP we may have a glance at it.

The Delhi elections will be fought in the Sun Jupiter Rahu period of this party and all the three are favorably placed in all the three varga charts here.

In the Chara dasha it will be Kumbha Tula Karka from all the three Amatyakaraka Moon is aspecting the tenth house. The favourable period continues for the BJP in this period in this horoscope though I do not place much reliance on the national horoscope of a party for a state election.

Kiran Bedi: On 15 January after Kiran Bedi joined the BJP , Sachin Malhotra wrote to me to ask if the horoscope of hers being used by some of our students was correct as he felt some doubt about it. I wrote to him the following.

18 Jan 2015
Sachin

This time was got from her by a woman student of mine before 1990. I made only one prediction about her when some police officer of a very high rank asked me if she
could become the Police Commissioner of Delhi or not. I said no but she would retire prematurely. That is Do not underrate this horoscope. It has lot of vitality and promise of rising high in life.
=========================
Next day on 19 January Kiran Bedi was declared as the chief ministerial candidate of the party, it was said in newspapers reports, to overcome internal bickering in the
party.

Kiran Bedi’s horoscope: The tenth lord Mercury in a good exchange with the ninth lord is associated with the eighth lord Mars and the twelfth lord Sun aspected by Saturn from the twelfth house and the eleventh lord from the third house.

I was asked about her elevation as the Commissioner of Delhi in the middle of 2007 when she was running Venus Mercury Sun and here Sun is the twelfth lord. In Chara dasha it was Kanya Mesha but Tula the pratyantara dasha from where Amatyakaraka with Gnathikaraka falls in the eight house. Some obstacle and desire to retire were visible and she did take voluntary retirement. This combination shows the troubles she will have in her work place however high even in future.

She is fighting this election in Sun Mercury Jupiter . Here Jupiter is aspecting the eleventh house as the fourth and seventh lord in the birth horoscope is the tenth lord of the navamsha in his own house and in the dashamansha aspecting the tenth house.

In Chara dasha the mahadasha of Tula is unfavorable but the antardasha of  Karka is excellent while the pratyantara dasha till the day of polling is Makar from where  the tenth house gets favourable aspects. Soon after the pratyantara dasha that begins is of Dhanu which will show her difficulties in the formation of the government and serious differences that may crop, if and when the BJP forms the government. Some other problems visible here need not be spelled out.

But looking at the favourable period over all the BJP is forming the government in Delhi with her as the chief minister it appears clearly.

Arvind Kejriwal: This horoscope of Arvind I got directly from his own family more than ten years ago in a different context when he was not in politics but was in government service, on leave, running his NGO. Then he was seen on the same stage as Anna Hazare with Kiran Bedi. Later developments are well known and both the protégés of Anna have joined politics much to Anna’s chagrin and disgust.

Arvind Kejriwal Horoscope - Journal of AstrologyThen when Kejriwal became the chief minister of Delhi for a brief period of Delhi for 49 days the  veracity of this horoscope got tested. It was Jupiter Mercury Moon then. He did make a mark and did become a terror for the corrupt no doubt. He is remembered for that even now though he is accused of running away after forty nine days.

Now when he is fighting this election the pratyantara dasha is of debilitated Saturn in all the three vargas. But in Chara dasha while the mahadasha of Kumbha and antardasha also of Kumbha are favourable with the Amatyakaraka Moon aspecting the tenth house the pratyantara dasha of Simha in the ninth house is the weakness noticeable here. It is particularly so as the Atmakaraka Sun in the twelfth house aspecting the tenth house with Putrakaraka does  promise a position after this election. It could be that of the leader of opposition it seems now.

It then appears, Modi wave or no wave, the BJP is set to form the government in Delhi in  February 2015 though some poll surveys give an edge to AAP and Arvind Kejriwal still a hero for many lower class people of Delhi as is being said by my friends.

Note. The birth time of Kiran Bedi was corrected by reducing it by one minute.

Note: I still do not know if the horoscope of the Aam Aadmi Party used here is correct.
