Today, 5 August 2019 has become a historic day in our history as something which could not be done in 70 years has taken shape now. Union Home minister Amit Shah has announced that Article 370 which grants special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir will be scrapped. Is ours an ideal democracy!! Hardly so, it is far from being an ideal democracy; where there should be two equal opponents, like Conservative and Labour party in Britain; like Republican and Democratic party in USA. As for India, for the two major parties here i.e. Congress and BJP there has never been a state of relative equilibrium. There was a time when Congress was all powerful for a long time, BJP had not come into existence then. BJP came into existence and gradually spread its wings and the status now of present election result on 23 May 2019 is that BJP alone bagged 303 seats and 353 seats along with its NDA Alliance. Congress on the other hand could muster only 52 seats; along with UPA, Congress got 91. Other parties won 98 seats. What to talk of equality, Congress party could not win even 55 seats which is the requisite 10 % to become the official opposition. Čítať viac...

Source: The horoscope of Pranab Mukherjee has been given to me by Shri K. N. Rao Sir. The family came to him for consultation.
Former President and Bharat Ratna awardee Pranab Mukherjee passed away on 31 Aug 2020 at 17:46 hours. He was in R&R Hospital since 10 Aug 2020. Brain surgery resulted in coma, condition worsened by lung infection, got complicated by Covid-19 and he could not be saved.
In my last article (written on 18 Aug 2020) I discussed the research of my revered Guruji Shri K.N. Rao Sir that when Venus transits Mithun rashi with 19 benefic points in ashtakvarga, where there are zero points in BAV of Moon, it hurts the sentiment of the country, the nation has to face a time of trouble and grief. Venus was till in Mithun when our former President Pranab Mukherjee breathed his last. I had written in my article “Venus in Mithun Again” –
Former President Pranav Mukherjee is sick and was hospitalized last week. He is on ventilator support in Army hospital and is critical. He is running Vimshottari dasha of Saturn-Rahu Mercury. Note that besides other factors, he has Makar rashi in his 7H with only 19 points there, Saturn is transiting there and Jupiter has been there a little while back, before it fell into the 6H in Dhanu over his Moon.
The horoscope of Pranab Mukherjee was given in that article as we could clearly see that his end was near. We can see that as soon as Moon reached his marak 7H along with Saturn in transit, he passed away. Short in stature, he was perhaps the shortest President India had. As for his career, he spent a very long 43 years in politics. He started small, from a humble village, from where he reached the top most position in the country.
He was a good orator. Look at the second house of the birth chart, six planets influencing his 2H/L made him so. In navamsha again we see the influence of four planets on his 2H/L.
He was noticed by Indira Gandhi when he was speaking in Rajya Sabha with full zeal in favour of nationalised banking in the year 1969. When the Syndicate and Finance Minister Morarji Desai was against it, this was a pleasant surprise for Indira Gandhi, who was the Prime Minister at that time. She enquired and found that the man was from a regional party ‘Bangla Congress’. Who doesn’t wish to have support; the humble party was soon merged into the Indian National Congress and he was appointed Deputy Minister for Industrial Development in 1973.
His Rahu Mahadasha had started, placed in the 7H of ‘pad prapti’ (position) in birth chart, placed in 5H of ministership in navamsha and dashamsha, Rahu bestowed its grace. In char dasha, it was Makar Kanya; Kanya had Amk in it and it was time for a rise in career. The very next year, he was promoted as a Minister of State and by 1975 he had independent charge of Revenue and Banking.
His career was not without its share of ups and downs as we can see clearly in his horoscope with the 8L Saturn aspecting the 10H. Pranab Mukherjee should have become the Prime Minister of India in 1984 when Indira Gandhi was assassinated but that was not to be. Zail Singh played a trick and administered the oath of Prime Ministership to Rajiv Gandhi secretly.
Pranab Mukherjee was running Rahu-Venus-Jupiter. Venus-Jupiter and Jupiter-Venus are enigmatic dashas, where anything can happen. For this horoscope, with Venus in 8H and Jupiter the 6L, there was more disappointment to be faced. He was dropped from the Cabinet by Rajiv Gandhi. Later he was also dropped from the Congress Working Committee and expelled from the party.
He made a new party ‘Rashtriya Samajwadi Party’ which failed miserably and was soon merged into the Congress party when he decided to come back.
Then in 2004, when Congress won elections, he should have been the obvious choice of UPA, but dynastic ambitions were being pursued, dummy Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was chosen with evident controls in the hands of Sonia Gandhi. It was Jupiter-Rahu for him. Jupiter placed in 4H of seat with Rahu in kendra from it. But 4L Saturn from Jupiter was with the 8L Venus, both conjunct in 5H, giving him loads of disappointment.
In the next term, he again missed the chance and Manmohan Singh continued as PM. He was 72 years old then and we have included him in our book ‘Ages of 36 and 72 - Significant and Critical’. When one is around 36 and 72 years of age, significant landmark events happen in the life of a person, either good or bad but events which leave a decided mark on the person. We can see that this rule came very true in the case of Pranab Mukherjee.
He was the one to provide counsel in all matters, but he could never be the Prime Minister, he held many portfolios like that of Finance, Defence, Commerce & Industry and External affairs.
He served as the 13th President of India from 25 Jul 2012 to 25 Jul 2017. He became the President of India at the last moment when he strongly complained as to why he was being left out for every important post, inspite of him being the most deserving. His vimshottari dasha at the time was Saturn-Venus. Venus is the 4L of birth chart conjunct with Saturn in the 8H which is also a house of surprises and he got the post suddenly. In chaturthamsha, Saturn is the 4L conjunct with the 8L Venus in the 5th house of dignity, along with 9L of luck; it was his good luck calling.
There is an anecdote that he was so fascinated with the lavish President house. He was gazing at a chariot one day when he told his sister that in the next birth, he wouldn’t mind taking birth as a horse, so he could be in the President House. His sister replied that maybe he wouldn’t need to wait for the next life. And, yes he became the President in this life only. He also opened the President house to general public, which was a very big step.
As I was watching TV news, I got to understand that he was a man with superb memory, he would remember events of yesteryears along with the dates. Such impeccable memory and loads of information, the dignified man that he was, he would give suggestions to whoever would come to him for advice. Look at the number of planets connected with the lords of dignity houses 5 and 9. Six planets are connected in the birth chart. Count the dispositors of Rahu and Ketu and we see eight planets connect with the 5 and 9 houses. When he was a child, his mother would ask him to recall, whatever he had done in the day, including the money spent by him. That habit of recalling developed right from childhood, helped him a lot later.
Joined to his roots, even in his last days, he expressed his wish to have ‘kathal’ (jack fruit) from his village which his son got for him.
What is important is that he was loved across party lines, as they say. He accepted the invitation from RSS last year and went there inspite of Sonia Gandhi’s disapproval.
He wrote several books about economy, nation building and Congress. He used to write a diary which is in safe custody with his daughter Sharmistha, maybe that will come in print someday!
So many dignitaries, from all parties came to pay their respects to the great leader. Many people from general public came and offered flowers. The era has come to an end.
