The judgement of the Supreme Court of India is a big jolt to the Congress led UPA government and the present Home Minister, Chidambaram who has now to face a case for what he is said to have done as Finance Minister earlier, may witness , if a horoscope of his circulating (16 Sept 1945 with Vrisha lagna) and the pratyantara dasha of Moon in the eighth house is correct, may be the beginning of the end of his political career now. The Congress party should prepare to face more difficult, if tragic, events in the coming months. read more...

Pakistan’s army represents a state within a state. Its duplicity was exposed when it was found out that both the army and ISI had given shelter to Osama bin Laden. Since the killing of Osama, army has fallen out of favor with USA which is now supporting the civilian government. Then cutting down aid to Pakistan, an army coup will be without the US support unlike all the army coups which had full support including financial support of USA. Can this support to civilian rule ensure balance of power in Pakistan? Can this create anything like a normal chain of command that will give to the civilian administration supremacy over the army? read more...

I had emphasized the importance of the present Saturn Jupiter opposition in the context of Pakistan mainly because of its present dasha of Venus, the seventh lord and Saturn-Jupiter axis being Tula and Mesha. Something historic had to happen and it is happening which is being witnessed by the world particularly India which is interested in seeing a strong democratic Pakistan emerge out of the present tangle. The Supreme Court of Pakistan has served a notice of contempt of court on prime minister, Yusuf Raza Gilani, the longest serving prime minister of Pakistan today (16 January-2012) and has asked him to appear before it on 19 January. read more...

From the horoscope of the Congress Party now it appears again that it will make an attempt to get passed some sort of a washed down Lokepal bill more as a political gimmick, a game politicians are well known to indulge in. Like the Sharda Act banning child marriages during British times, like the anti-dowry act and anti-corruption measures passed by the government, it will adorn the vast list of the statute book without becoming effective, even if the UPA succeeds in getting it passed.  Vimshottari dasha is applied to the chart of a country as, to that of an individual and, as in Yogini dasha and Chara dasha or some shorter dashas, if one cycle is over, the next cycle should be applied and -this is very important- combined with the New Year horoscope, year after year and synthesized.

The transit Jupiter in Pakistan’s lagna and Saturn in the seventh house aspects the ninth house of judiciary. This is also the combination of the ninth and tenth lords in the seventh house clearly showing the present tensions in Pakistan The government, the army and the judiciary seem to be clashing with each other. The judiciary appearing to assert itself at the moment is showing a rare vitality of Pakistani democracy which had earlier been choked by Musharraf. The Arab Spring which started with Tunisia and Egypt was given enough publicity in the western press keeping in view the interests of western countries, the neo economic imperialistic interests centering round oil and protection of Israel mainly with only Iran defying it. Libya too having fallen, the next flashpoint, the one that clearly involves aggression with the west, is Iran. The fall of Libya and Gaddafi was a big tragedy of many Libyans as they cannot dream of a better welfare state in which what they lost in terms of some personal liberties were more than compensated by benefits which would be the envy of the best welfare states of even Norwegian countries. read more...

 Many people never expect or expected a strong Lokpal Bill to be ever passed as it has not been passed in nearly forty years since it has beendebated in India. No democracy in the world has such a bill and will not have. Saturn and Jupiter influencing the eighth house of both the Indian Independence horoscope and of the Congress Party is not the time of glory though the Congress Party may do better in the coming elections in some northern states as the tenth house too is influenced.
