It has been customary at the end of an astrological debate, actually a quarrel (these days about Jaimini dashas) -- astrologers come away claiming victory. Starting with a Sanskrit shloka or sutra, a fatuous rhetorical war path, they end up abusing each other. I have seen it so often, astrologers using very offensive language and uttering arrant nonsense. They spout ill-informed academic poison. They cannot overcome their obsessions. Involved in such quarrels, you find yourself between a precipitous rock and a deep sea.

Sometime in 1983 or 1984 a young Sikh working in a bank came to me with a proposal for becoming the editor of an astrological magazine which he would start, he said, if I became its editor. Nine months ago, Sri Srikant Sharma came to me and asked me to give predictions for the elections of 2019 just as I had for 2014 elections and surprised everyone by predicting the victory of BJP. This is what Anju refers to here. Anju Sachdev is with K Vikram Rao and 13 others.

MAGNANIMOUS WIN NDA with 352 seats, BJP with its own majority of 303, this is a historic win when second time consecutive a non-Congress party has come up with a clear majority. It is much more than the score of 2014, when NDA got 336 and BJP alone got 282. Congress could bag only 92 seats this time.

The major problem the government will
face this summer is water scarcity and water riots. Since 1987 this has been discussed sometime or other The names of K.L.Rao since the days of Nehru, and later of pilot Dastur and garland schemes, interlinking of rivers have been talked about but the problem of water scarcity remained unsolved in well known drought prone areas.This year 2019 the Ardra Pravesh horoscope reminds one of 1987 and 2002 and the problem of water scarcity will be much worse as the population has grown, water scarcity has increased.
