THE CASE OF SANJAY DUTT AND PUNISHMENT

The Indian television channels kept the nation busy with trial of the actor Sanjay Dutt and at 13/23 on 31 July 2007 when I was asked the question, I prepared a prashna in which the lagna was in Chara rashi, Sun in chara rashi but Moon in sthira rashi which is a snap shot method of predicting that the result will be
unfavourable.

I avoid using prashna except when there no horoscope is available and the question is to be answered.

Does the snapshot method give results always ? I will say no. But it is dependable. See what happened.

Sanjay Dutt sentenced for 6 years in jail : July 31, 2007 13:39 IST

“The special TADA court Tuesday sentenced actor Sanjay Dutt to six years imprisonment for his role in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.”

The judgement brought out some points which do not show that he was not a conscious offender. He was present in a dinner of Dawood Ibrahim.

He had committed many offences and being a mature person could not be excused. One of the reactions of a legal expert appearing a live television show was that unless such punishment was awarded, people in the country will not learn two lessons.

1) The first was that no one could be above law.

2) The second was that after committing an offense if a man is shown visiting temples, giving huge donations and is portrayed as a very spiritual God fearing person, he is shown in a wrong light. He is an offender who should not escape punishment. If such persons escape punishment it teaches wrong religious lesson to people.

Ofcourse, one of the reactions of one man from film industry was that people will lose faith in law after this !!

The legal expert said people will have greater faith in law now !!

Some stupid fellow also said that people will lose faith in God and prayer !!

I have had occasions to explain to my students many times that prayers and visiting temples or pilgrimages is not to escape legal, divine punishment. Yes, these prayers can reduce severity of such punishments provided the prayer offered by the PERSON HIMSELF is sincere and not got done through the “agents” be they astrologers or the pandits who charge huge fee and almost assure you that God can be bribed. The idiot boxes of India have repeatedly shown Amitabh Bachchan visiting temples, Amrinder Singh and Amar Singh doing many shantis. And what is it that they got ? Laws of Karma are inexorable and
mysterious.

God is compassionate is what saints tell you but India’s politicians and men of celebrity world seem to be bent on proving God as a bribe taker.

The facts of the case as presented in this case and the TADA ACT clearly establish Sanjay Dutt as a traitor said the judge which is a terrible verdict. A legal expert did say that it is the media which tried to build up so much
sympathy for a traitor !!

His Horoscope

Sanjay Dutt is said to have been born on 29 July 1959 in Vrischika lagna and Karka navamsha in Bombay. No one has confirmed it and one can work on it is all that can be said.
Here is he is running the dasha of Jupiter in the twelfth house and antardasha of Venus, the twelfth lord in which this punishment has come.

In Jaimini it is that dasha of Dhanu containing his Gnathikaraka showing punishment. Lot of work has been done on Bandhana Yogas and some good articles have been published in the Journal of Astrology. If this horoscope of Sanjay Dutt is correct, how can be escape some more period of confinement in
jail ?

If this horoscope is accepted, he committed the crime in Rahu-Venus and the punishment has come in Jupiter-Venus. My research on Jupiter-Venus and Venus-Jupiter periods is what I will not rush to quote here as I am not
sure of his horoscope though it appeals to me still.

Bandhana yogas

In my book Astrology, Destiny and the Wheel of Time, I have discussed some of the bandhana yogas and it has been plagiarised by many writers recently. But there are many more which will have to be part of a major research in future by some good astrologers.

But I am not sure if the horoscope is correct.

The idiot boxes have got enough bytes of sensation to keep the nation busy whole of the day today and will pray for a similar luck everyday. These seasoned and clever journalists of the “idiots” boxes know how to sensationalise it all-- so well that no one was talking of a historic Indian victory against England in
the second cricket test.

The report is that Sanjay Dutt will not be given any bail. He will have to spend the night in Arthur jail of Bombay.
