AGONIES OF PAKISTAN
It is the massacre of children that brings tears and sympathies transcending national boundaries, drowning the bitter neighborly relations. Pakistan’s agony of 16 December 2014 in Peshawar killings, ripping apart families adds to the more than 40,000 deaths from terror attacks since 2001. If a corpse in a grave has a conscience, Zia ul Huq of vicious Islamic fundamentalism of 1979-88 days may have a shed a tear. And H.W Bush who had warned Pakistan in 1992 as has been reported may not have been surprised. And Hillary Clinton must be having the last laugh after her remark that Pakistan should not expect that snakes it was breeding would bite only its neighbors. read more...read more...
POLITICS OF BHARAT RATNA
Atal Bihari VajpaiIt is different when it is given to politicians as has happened in India and very ludicrous when the serving prime minister like Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi who preside over the cabinet committee to decide who should be awarded Bharat Ratna decide to award it to themselves as shown above. Someone gave the statistics to show that twenty one out of forty three Bharat Ratna awarded have been to politicians, some of them of mediocre provincial stature but of the Congress party. Now it is the turn of the BJP to award it to their own icons. No one will remember Gen.Manekshaw in this heat. read more...read more...

NEPAL: THE WRITING ON THE WALL

This piece had appeared on this website in 2006. The king of Nepal has been driven out of the palace he has been living in some othrer place is the rumour in Delhi though unconfirmed. His future is so uncertain with withdrawal of Maosists from the government. There is danger to India from the Indo Nepal border, particularly five states. The developments there to be watched carefully. Surprisingly, in the Indian media, there is such poor coverage about the happenings in Nepal. (20 September 2007)

India Globally

I had written in my annual predictions for the year 2006 based on the Hindu New Year horoscope about problems India would face from its neighbours.

Saturn in the 12th house shows conspiracies against India which could be manifested in large scale terrorist activities. Saturn in Karka brings about major political changes in India and leads to agitation for new States. The
Telengana issue will be in news along with Vidarbha and Gorkhalkand.

It can be a crisis point for the Government at some stage. Spreading Naxalite and ISI nets in Bangladesh, Nepal and eastern India can be a more serious problem for India than we can imagine now.

I did not do much work on Nepal as the only thinnest data available for work is the 1975 horoscope of the accession of King Birendra. Proceeding on this many good predictions have been made and are possible as here the time is accurate.

It is a remarkable tribute to the astrologers of Nepal who chose a time King Birendra which gave him twenty six years of reign against the turbulent history of Nepal since 1950 when revolutionary ferment and love for democracy of people had created such great trouble for King Birendra that he very wisely decided in 1990 to become a mere constitutional monarch.

Yet Maoists, the China inspired revolutionares, who think that both communist China and non communist Russia have become betrayers and revisionists, are bent on bringing about a proletariat revolution in the world defeating the designs of USA and Nepal’s, neighbour India.

From there stem all the problems of India and the danger of future penetration of Maoists into Indian states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.

That is the problem of India and in the heated confusion of the moment only the former External Affairs Minister of India, Mr.Natwar Singh, spoke the bitter truth that India had lost the confidence of the seven party alliance of Nepal.

Mr. Natwar Singh talked ot the” masterly inactivity” of the government of India. As a brilliant student of history which he has been during his student days and a great expert on international affairs whose services the government of India is now missing, he should appreciate that when the tidal sweep of a revolution engulfs a nation, as can be seen astrologically also, no masterly activity of India could have saved the situation.

One can draw a parallel with Viet Cong and the blunders of the Americans.

The king is not prepared to abdicate and allow a republic to be created which is inevitable and if the obduracy of the king continues, after a bloodier coup.

In the study of the effects of the eclipse of 29 March 2006 it was clear that with the eclipse point falling on the tenth lord and lagna of the accession horoscope, the revolutionary ferment ignited by Maoists, who have already captured the country side in Nepal, would become a conflagaration.

It happened much faster than anyone may have anticipated.

As I explained to my classes, the events having moved much faster than what what we expected, in the middle of June when Mars and Saturn conjoin in Karka and will be on the degrees of the Moon of the 1975 chart King Gyanendra may face a tragedy or may have to flee the country with his family.

Now look at the annual horoscope of Nepal for the year 2006.

The birth lagna repeats with the tenth lord in the eighth and the eighth lord in the tenth and Muntha lord Venus in the tenth aspected by Mars.

The fourth lord in the twelfth with the sixth lord is the ominous indication of the great misfortune of King Gyanendra.

In the accession horoscope, retrograde Saturn in the fourth house aspecting the tenth lord Jupiter cannot save the throne of the King of Nepal.

That is the writing on the wall.
