But one Indian who has really fired the imagination of many Indians, engineers who had done MBA, is Rajat Gupta. In some television channels it was discussed and some newspapers gave it adequate coverage in India. It was a super romantic story of what they call “the American dream”, meaning moving to USA succeeding and becoming rich (filthily?) whatever the means. In every American story of success it is ends that justify means.
The biggest ever cine star of India, Amitabh Bachchan is in news again for precisely the same reason as he was in 1982 (see in my book UPS AND DOWNS IN CAREER The Suspense of a Prediction).

Wednesday, November 30, 2005 MUMBAI: The suspense over superstar Amitabh Bachchan's illness continued on Day 2 as the first family of Bollywood made no announcement to fans and media.
A family friend told TOI that his condition was more serious than they had thought it was. "We thought it was just a stomach ache, but it seems more serious," said thefriend without elaborating.

After such a long and illustrious career as Amitabh Bachchan has had so far, it is time for him to retire and call it a day, as they say.
He can expect to have some relief from his present ailment in and after the first week of December 2005, but only relief, not cure.
He should think of retirement seriously or of reducing his work load to one third of what it is now.
