Both are thirty two years old. Federer has entered his thirty third year and at the end of September this year Serena too will enter that year. Both have seventeen grand slams titles each. Serena in a supreme form playing her best tennis even at this age and winning with confidence and gusto.She is eclipsing Federer who, now fading fast, has been hitting his forehand returns many times beyond the baseline, his once graceful backhand passing shots outside the sidelines, hitting flower pots.What then can we expect Serena to achieve in the two active playing years left to her to achieve something more than what she already has ? She will be equalling and surpassing the record of Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert which is only more from her seventeen but will not be anywhere near Steffi Graff’s 22 leave alone 24 of Margaret Court.

The Transit
The transit at 1830 Hrs on 4th November 2008 at Washington would be:– Sun-6/19 04; Moon 9/07-15; Mars 6/28 02; Mercury 6/6 43; Jupiter 8/23 29; Venus 7/ 26 57; Saturn 4/25 01; Rahu 9/19 52; Ketu 3/ 19 52
Since we are comparing the competitiveness of the two Senators we need to apply the transit on their dashmanshas also. It is KN Rao’s teaching that “if you want to apply transit to a divisional chart convert the planetary longitude so that it is conforming to that divisional chart. Apples to be counted with apples and bananas with bananas.
One look and 3 planets Sun, Mars and Mercury transiting in Obama’s ascendant; lagna lord Venus in exchange with Mars the 2nd lord of ethics. Jupiter the maha dasha and pratyantar dasha lord in his own the 3rd house of efforts and Sun the antar dasha lord with a neechbhang raj yoga in lagna - victory seems in grasp.
McCain has also got a good transit but is a shade weaker as lagna is bereft of any planetary influence. He has got Saturn transiting in the 8th house from his natal Moon. Saturn is his mahadasha lord. This is also his dasha chidra. Things do not look promising at all.
The transit dashmansh is:-
Sun –Aries; Moon- Scorpio; Mars-Cancer; Mercury-Sagittarius; Jupiter-Cancer; Venus-Pisces; Saturn-Aries; Rahu- Pisces Ketu- Virgo.

McCain’s transit of his dasha planets Saturn, Jupiter, Mars is in the 4th (chair) and 7th (office, pada, position) houses. It is a strong transit but it is subservient to dasha - his dasha chidra infuses doubt.
Obama’s dasha planets are Jupiter and Sun. Jupiter is transiting in the ascendant of the dashmansh and is exalted. Jupiter is also digbali in the ascendent.
Sun the antardasha lord is transiting in the 10th house. Sun is also exalted and digbali. We know he is running Jupiter/ Sun/ Jupiter. This is an excellent transit.
Obama in this race on 4th November is ahead.
The Kot Chakra
Senator McCain’s Moon is 9/-4º47 in Uttarashadha nakshatra. It is the 21st constellation. Senator Barack Obama’s Moon is exalted at 1/6º53. It is the Krittika nakshatra which is the 3rd constellation. In the two Kot Chakra’s the numbering commences from the left hand top corner. The first number is that of the Janam Nakshatra.
The two Kot Chakras are–
The rules of analysing a Kot Chakra are:-1. Benefic planets in the inner most square and the next inner corridor provide protection. Malefics do the same in the two outer corridors.
2. Benefics in the inner corridor are better in the oblique alleys; malefics in the outer corridor are better the vertical alleys.
3. A retrograding planet reverses its direction. There are many other rules but for the purpose of our discussion these rules will suffice.
We are restricting our analysis to the dasha planets only.
McCain first. Saturn and Mars his MDL and the PDL are transiting in the inner first corridor. These two malefic planets are infusing weakness in the protective elements of this Kot. Jupiter the benefic ADL is on the outer most corridor enhancing the weakness. The situation is poor
Now Obama. Jupiter and Sun are his dasha planets. Jupiter is in his inner most square giving full protection and ensuring victory. Sun is in the outgoing alley a malefic it is not too bad.
Obama is ahead.
Conclusion
We are witnessing history being written. America is on the verge of having a black occupant of its White House. This is a tremendous achievement in a country where racial discrimination was the order of the day just a few decades back. Majority of blue collar white workers have not yet come to terms with this black surge. I have enjoyed the journey. I am reminded of Bhagwan Buddha’s assertion “It is better to travel well than to arrive.”|
