KASHMIR (Updated)
Today, 5 August 2019 has become a historic day in our history as something which could not be done in 70 years has taken shape now. Union Home minister Amit Shah has announced that Article 370 which grants special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir will be scrapped. He also announced that Jammu and Kashmir will no longer be a state and it will be bifurcated into two Union Territories— Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.  ver mais...ver mais...
WITHERING AWAY OF CONGRESS PARTY
Is ours an ideal democracy!! Hardly so, it is far from being an ideal democracy; where there should be  two equal opponents, like Conservative and Labour party in Britain; like Republican and Democratic party in USA. As for India, for the two major parties here i.e. Congress and BJP there has never been a state of relative equilibrium. There was a time when Congress was all powerful for a long time, BJP had not come into existence then. BJP came into existence and gradually spread its wings and the status now of present election result on 23 May 2019 is that BJP alone bagged 303 seats and 353 seats along with its NDA Alliance. Congress on the other hand could muster only 52 seats; along with UPA, Congress got 91. Other parties won 98 seats. What to talk of equality, Congress party could not win even 55 seats which is the requisite 10 % to become the official opposition. ver mais...ver mais...

INDIAN ELECTION SCENE 2009

Some months ago a political leader asked me (KNR) what I thought would be the results of the election of 2009 I told him privately and asked him not to quote it but he has revealed it to a very important political leader, he told me.

We are in the midst of the most vulgar show of piety, lies, bluffs, false assurances, mean opportunism which is what democracy is in India if you know what it is as an astrologer as I (KNR) know it. It becomes something like a scripturally authenticated belief--the belief in a  devil when you see these politicians wanting to capture power through any means, fair or criminal, bribe and threat and booth capturing.

Democracy is like an anthropomorphized deity which politicians suddenly begin to pray to bestow on them power, wealth part of which they can and do hide in secret Swiss banks.

The television channels are showing how political leaders are abusing each other hardly realizing that it is totally nauseating. But the idiot boxes are not interested in decency and good taste, if you know even one tenth about these channels as many us know and how they are dominated by the  modern Indian hypocritical “secularists”. It includes some aggressive women anchors also. The print media is no better but once in a while it does come outwith bits like BLOGS Congress created Pakistan, Pakistan created the BJP?

Then Shankar Hedge made a visit to Delhi coming from Bangalore and discussed the outcome of the election as I (KNR) saw astrologically. He too analyzed it and talked about it in a television program in Bangalore on 13 April after going back, as he told me. He came again to Delhi on 14 April discussed it with me (KNR) and we decided to write this piece jointly.

Briefly, before you learn about our reading, look at the horoscope of both the Congress Party and BJP both major contenders. We cannot discuss the prospects of other parties as we do not have their horoscopes and also not the horoscopes of the important leaders leading them in the critical election in which the Third Front is becoming a major factor and most likely going to play the role of king maker and formation of the central cabinet.

Our limitation

The great limitation of this astrological approach is lack of adequate data which handicaps us the Astrologers and sometimes leads us into a wrong track of reasoning which we cannot avoid. But in an election season, and such a major one as the Indian elections the greatest in the world with 710 million voters, millions of electronic voting machines and a mind boggling security arrangements to prevent booth capturing some rogue parties and politicians are well known for and, the danger of terrorist attacks, naxalites, ulfa etc. internally and of course the terrorists from across the borders, Pakistan and Bangladesh how can we escape predicting?

We have no favorite political party though we do have some sympathies with some politicians of different parties which does affect our objectivity.

India Elections 2009 Horoscopes

The analysis

Now, the astrological analysis In the case of the Congress, it is the mahadasha of Jupiter, the tenth lord aspecting the tenth house which is highly favorable. In Chara dasha it will be Karka-Tula-Kanya at the time of the formation of the new government.

Here the amatyakaraka Mercury in Dhanu aspects Jupiter the darakaraka forming a good Jaimini rajayoga.

In the case of the BJP it is Venus Mercury which is better than 2004. In Chara dasha it will be Meena-Dhanu-Kumbha with a weak amatyakaraka in the tenth house which can give it the role of an important opposition party in these circumstances as Moon the amatyakaraka is the sixth lord.

In transit, Jupiter in Makar is more favorable for the Congress party than the BJP whose tenth lord (Jupiter) is debilitated and in the eighth house from its lagna.

Saturn is on the tenth lord of BJP but weak in sarvastaka while it is in the sixth house of the Congress but behind its natal moon causing some trepidation which can mean weak bargaining position in the post election arithmetic.

Women dictating terms

Note two features  in  the Hindu New Year horoscope.

a) The tenth house has Ketu and

b) The tenth lord is very close in degrees with Venus representing  women

Sonia Gandhi, the power behind the UPA and the Congress Party and Mayawati of the BSP staking her claim openly to the post of the prime minister as the projected or so called projected leader of the Third Front are serious factors in this electoral scene. Somewhere in the shadows behind are Jayalalita of Tamilnadu and Mamta Bannerji of Bengal.

Then in the Indian Independence horoscope at the time of the elections the mahadasha is of Venus representing women and Ketu representing a non high caste Hindu or even a Sikh like Manmohan Singh who has an extraordinary image as an incorruptible man essentially a bureaucrat thrust by his destiny into the important position of Indian prime minister (weakest ever prime minister according to L.K.Advani who accuses him of being totally controlled by Sonia Gandhi).

The pratyantara dasha will be of Jupiter on the day President of India will decide whom to invite to form the government, but it will be Ketu or Venus pran dasha.

Inferentially

Inferentially, Mayawati’s BSP will have to have a good number to play a crucial role in the formation of the government at the centre, if she herself is not staking her claim. Jayalalitha may be equally a strong factor in such a scramble. We have to call it inferential in the absence of reliable astrological data.

The most crucial role of Sonia Gandhi is of course well known. Will too many women spoil the political broth ? It appears that as a result of it (again an inference) that the new government will not complete its term or the prime minister will change and we will witness more than one prime minister.

Poll surveys

We are aware that two poll surveys done before 15 April (they cannot do it after according to an order of the Election Commission) have given to NDA more seats while four to UPA. We are not influenced by that as we know that in 2004, after spending millions on these surveys, the NDA was predicted to knock up more than 300 seats. That failed miserably.

The rumors in Delhi are that both the Congress party and the BJP had got done their own internal surveys and according to them the Congress will get 170 seats and BJP 160. A very senior leader told us to deduct 25 from these figures and look at the emerging scene!

One of us (KN Rao) is aware that as early as July 2003, a sadhu of Madhya Pradesh had said that:

a) Neither Sonia Gandhi nor Atal Behari would become the prime minister ;

b) The new government would last up to September 2004 and

c) There would be mid term poll.

An astrologer made use of these,  repeated them parrot like and stole limelight till September 2004 when the government of Manmohan Singh continued and completed its full term. Once again people got  a chance to deride astrology. Finally, when Manmohan Singh completed his full term astrologers and psephologists got a bad name. That is the risk but we still have to make a prediction as people ask us this question repeatedly. In the coalition era when a general election in India is not a contest between two major political parties, we have to take the risk of predicting without the horoscopes of mighty regional parties and their leaders who do not even know their birth details.

Our prediction in these circumstances is that UPA will form the government with the support of some regional parties or The third front will form the government with the support of the Congress party.

We predict that the chances of UPA forming the government are stronger.
