KASHMIR (Updated)
Today, 5 August 2019 has become a historic day in our history as something which could not be done in 70 years has taken shape now. Union Home minister Amit Shah has announced that Article 370 which grants special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir will be scrapped. He also announced that Jammu and Kashmir will no longer be a state and it will be bifurcated into two Union Territories— Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.  read more...
Is ours an ideal democracy!! Hardly so, it is far from being an ideal democracy; where there should be  two equal opponents, like Conservative and Labour party in Britain; like Republican and Democratic party in USA. As for India, for the two major parties here i.e. Congress and BJP there has never been a state of relative equilibrium. There was a time when Congress was all powerful for a long time, BJP had not come into existence then. BJP came into existence and gradually spread its wings and the status now of present election result on 23 May 2019 is that BJP alone bagged 303 seats and 353 seats along with its NDA Alliance. Congress on the other hand could muster only 52 seats; along with UPA, Congress got 91. Other parties won 98 seats. What to talk of equality, Congress party could not win even 55 seats which is the requisite 10 % to become the official opposition. read more...

Hero for some with many admirers and mighty supporters who were prepared to pay for his bail when he was being remanded to custody in a London court and countless enemies, Julian Assange’s personality has suddenly become too gigantic in the news of November and December 2010 all over the world. He has annoyed many mighty men of the world and pleased many, as a report says, who hate politicians and gleefully get delighted when they get exposed. There is a question of morality also and diplomacy will always have to be a secret is an argument that too has weight.

The Guardian has expressed it thus “For a powerful argument of the potential of the beneficial power of the web, go no further than Mrs. Clinton’s powerful January 2010 speech on internet freedom in which she lauded the “iconic infrastructure of our age”, adding this warning: “As in the dictatorships of the past, governments are targeting independent thinkers who use these tools.” She meant Iran and China, but there is widespread unease at the tactics her own administration is using to stifle WikiLeaks into silence.”

The iconic infrastructure of our age, Mrs. Clinton praised has embarrassed her and forced on her the declared intention to retire from public life after her present assignment.

USA will have to affect a massive transfer and reshuffle of her diplomats after the Wikileaks exposure.

India has not been embarassed so far (8 Dec) but all governments and rulers must be apprehensive about any damning leaks about them.

His website and what are being called mirror sites are said to be subversive while others call it an admirable fight for transparency. It is difficult to take sides and join the issue. In the ten days so far (8 December) what he has revealed is what is generally known but the nature of international diplomacy has suffered its worst jolt. It is also surmised that the world governments, particularly the US government would pursue him vindictively inspite  of  USA being the champion of democracy in those countries where it has supported only dictators.

A revolutionary new chapter has now opened. Assange, clearly anti American so far in the exposures made so far, is in a way becoming a new champion of freedom of speech. He has dumped only all the American material for the whole world to read and has created a suspicion that some other nation which is anti America may be behind him. Some damage to some individuals may also have been done inspite of the claim of the material having being redacted. Was publishing war logs dangerous, alarmist and a setback in the fight against terrorism is another question being asked.

In such terrible controversies, when we are in the midst of it all, our own judgement can be clouded, one sided or even hasty. Better it is to remain on sidelines and allow the drama to unfold with staggering speed which internet alone makes it possible. The shock is too great, having come with such a speed in the age of internet, is read and seen by so many millions all over the world with censors failing so far in suppressing it or even controlling it to some extent. There is a concerted attempt to stifle his website and others financially, electronically and legally. His leakages are pouring in still. Where will it end ?

At attempt can be made therefore on the basis of the doubtful horoscope cast here to make an astrological prediction. Nothing much is known about Assange who refused to give his personal details, address, and finger prints in a London court. Some scantiest information made available gives us his date of birth as 3 July 1971 and some details like:

I am inclined to give him Vrischika lagna, and I could be wrong, on the following scanty basis.

Date of birth 1971
1971 -1973, Tula 1973-1981, Kanya 1981-1983, Simha 1983-1985, Karka 1985-1994, Mithuna 1994-1995, Vrisha 1995-1996, Mesha 1996-2005, Meena 2005-2009, Kumbha 2009-2010, Makara 2010-2010,.

Married at the age of 18 could be in Karka which has DK and Makara which is seventh from DK.

Became a father in 1990-91 in Karka-Vrischika. From Karka PK is in the fifth house and the Vrischika has PK.

Founded Wikileaks in 2006 in Meena from where Amk Sun is aspecting the tenth is associated with Venus representing electronics instrument. The antardasha should/could be of Mithuna.

In the mahadasha of Makara with AmK in the sixth house with Venus there is an interpol notice for his arrest and he has been arrested.

In Vimshottari dasha it is the dasha of Saturn Rahu which gave him international notoriety or fame. Saturn aspects the tenth house in Dashamansha.

If I stick to this horoscope what future can be seen? The tenth lord in the eighth with the twelfth lord for this purpose shows his aim to leak the cables of foreign countries but also a brief career which will get cut short abruptly.

In Jaimini it is worse, as it is a combination of Amatyakaraka, Sun with the Gnathikaraka, Venus.

In Vimshottari he is running Saturn in the seventh house aspected by the second lord, Jupiter, the antardasha of Rahu with exalted Mars and the pratyantara dasha of Sun in the eighth house. He is passing through a very difficult period which shows threat to his life also.

In Jaimini it is Makara which has his Atmakaraka, with DK and DKN in the seventh house indicating danger to his life, the antardasha is of Dhanu to be dreaded in the context of the happenings all over the world after Wikileaks sent shock waves. The pratyantara dasha is of Mesha. But when the Dhanu pratyantara dasha is reached in February 2011 lasting upto 3 March the danger may be the greatest. Imprisonment to danger to his life becomes visible if, let me repeat, the horoscope is correct.

(8 December 2010)

PS  Mars conjoined with Rahu in Dhanu in the eighth house of Indian independence horoscope has already shown its effect by giving a minor terrorist act in Varanasi. It will be there till the first week of January 2010 and is in the second house of Julian Assange aspecting the eighth house and the tenth lord if the horoscope used here is correct. That is very bad for him.
