CHANGING CONTOURS OF INDIAN POLITICS
Come winter, come rain, or let the sun scorch the earth, Kejriwal will always manage to be in news. He , the chief minister of a half state of Delhi, gets more publicity than any other chief minister of India or even cabinet minister of the central government. Now he carries the taint of the suicide of the farmer Gajendra and yet he is in news, first for continuing with his speech after the suicide and now with his apologies. read more...read more...
HOW USEFUL ARE ASTROLOGER'S EARTHQUAKE PREDICTIONS ?
I read earthquake predictions of Dr. Raman and late Hardeo Sharmaji’s but was never impressed as they only indicated the fortnight and direction of such earthquakes which does not help in preparation of rescue operations in advance. More accurate, nearest and better were the predictions of late S.K.Kelkar who sometimes predicted successfully the latitude and longitude of the epicentre of earthquake also. His prediction about Koyna earthquake in 1967 had given him world fame. Among astrologers, he was the best in this field read more...read more...

ASTROLOGICAL PREDICTIONS ABOUT SPORTS

Predictions about the outcome of matches in games and in competitive events in sports by astrologers is still in a primitive stage is what needs to be stated clearly at the outset. The reasons are two mainly in India: the older genera¬tion of astrologers like late Dr.Raman and Hardeoji never ventured into this area, perhaps, not treating it as an area of mundane astrology or not being interested in exploring this area though sports had come to have a definite sway in Indian public life in the last days of their lives.

I ventured into this area but once in two or three years as there was neither any sound re-search to follow, nor had I done a full research ( I have a half done research which has given me good results) one myself except predicting to some individual sportsmen, particularly cricket¬ers, privately and upto Ranji trophy level. In team games, it is more difficult as we do not have horoscopes of the team clashing.

In making predictions about the performance of India in international competitions the basic data necessary is:
(a) The foundation chart of India which we have but astrologers erred to see the unfavourable antardasha of Mars during the Olympics.
(b) The New Year chart, which can be and is cast, is quite favourable for India for the rest of the year.
(c) The soorya veedhi charts ( one of which was slightly favourable only for India.)
(d) The individual horoscopes of the participating sportsmen for individual games which we do not have. For example see my piece on Shiraz Shaheed who won the golf championship (the Putt of a Prediction) which first appeared in the Astrological Magazine of India and was later included in my book “Ups and Downs in Careers.” In this case I got the birth details from her father and predicted with immense confidence nearly thirty years ago.

Then you have to remember the country you are predicting for. In the case of India, proceed cautiously because of lack of sporting culture in India and the poor infrastructure apart, the awfully poor spending per participant in the Olympics. Read an article http:// www.firstpost.com/sports/rio-olympics-2016-indias-official-spending-on-the-games-is-a-third-of-the-uks-and-falling-2969738.html to understand this terrible problem in India.

See for examples the horoscopes of Djokovic and Murray, tennis players which clearly explain why 2016 had been disastrous for Djokovic and brilliant for Murray.

Then remember that Indians wake up for the preparations for the Olympics some months or one year before these games unlike western countries which prepare for the next Olympic nearly fours years in advance. I know this person¬ally, having seen government records during my government service.

Most of the astrologers get interested in sports but may not have played them during their student days and understood them technically. They will not know how from the days of Rod Laver tennis has changed so much from serve and volley to baseline play from the days of Ivan Lendl:or, the difference between the batting in 2020 in present day cricket and sedate and safe one of Test cricket: why astro turf was introduced by European nations to deprive India and Pakistan of their unquestioned supremacy in hockey. How many of these astrologers know what it costs to prepare for the Olympics and why financial security must be provided to medals winners in their post retirement life to create an atmosphere and enthusiasm for sportsmen.
Djokovic & Andy MurrayDjokovic running Ketu Saturn from 8 March 2016 to
17 April 2017

Murray has been having Sun
Jupiter since 24 June 2016 upto 12
April 2017

They just see some favourable planetary position and predict success without knowing that a sub-standard team can only perform better without winning medals. It is why I had said “In Rio Olympics India can hope to increase its tally medals and end up with best ever performance."The stress is on “hope”, and I was not predicting as I know with its poor record, India can only hope. How can I predict ?
