WITHERING AWAY OF CONGRESS PARTY
Is ours an ideal democracy!! Hardly so, it is far from being an ideal democracy; where there should be  two equal opponents, like Conservative and Labour party in Britain; like Republican and Democratic party in USA. As for India, for the two major parties here i.e. Congress and BJP there has never been a state of relative equilibrium. There was a time when Congress was all powerful for a long time, BJP had not come into existence then. BJP came into existence and gradually spread its wings and the status now of present election result on 23 May 2019 is that BJP alone bagged 303 seats and 353 seats along with its NDA Alliance. Congress on the other hand could muster only 52 seats; along with UPA, Congress got 91. Other parties won 98 seats. What to talk of equality, Congress party could not win even 55 seats which is the requisite 10 % to become the official opposition. Lees meerLees meer

CASE STUDY OF PREDICTIONS: MARRIAGE AND CHILDREN

W ill I get married during my current visit to India?, was the question put by a 30 year old youth employed in the U S A; the desperation and frustration caused by strains of spouse shopping was quite visible. It was the first week of April, 1994 and he was in his extended leave period.

I quickly cast his horoscope and predicted that he would get married during his extended leave in India and would soon have a child also.

He was prompt to retort that the child was most unlikely as he may not be able to take his wife along for quite sometime and, besides how could he plan a child as he was not yet quite settled.

Both predictions of mine, marriage on 27th April 1994, and pregnancy soon after proved correct. I was informed over telephone from U S A and was again loaded by the imperative query, would there be a problem and whether a son or a daughter? I predicted the birth of a healthy son which also proved correct. What led me to these predictions is glaring in the horoscope. Let us examine it.

I worked out the Vimshottari dasha. It was Saturn/Jupiter/Mars upto 15-04-1994. Saturn is the third  and fourth lord from Lagna (ascendant) and the fourth and fifth from Moon. It aspects the second and fifth lord from Lagna, Jupiter. It also aspects the 9th house and the 9th lord, Moon; which is placed in the 12th House.

It is also the Navamsha Lagna lord placed in the eighth in the Navamsha chart and the 5th lord of the Saptamsha. Jupiter is the 2nd and the 5th lord, with strength in the 5th house from this pivotal position it aspects the Lagna and the 9th house. In Navamsha, Jupiter is in the 7th house from Moon and also aspects the 7th house.

Dasha
The pratyantar dasha lords, Mars followed by Rahu are potential marriage givers. Mars being the 7th lord from Moon and is with 7th lord from Lagna, Venus, which is also the natural karaka (significator) for spouse and marriage. The two are placed in the 2nd house, Kutumbh Bhava (house of family) also seen for marriage. Mars is in 7th house of Navamsha. Rahu is placed in the 8th house of Mangalya (harmony in marriage), seen for marriage and has the aspect of Mars and Venus in the natal chart.

The pratyantar dasha of Rahu commenced from 15-04-1994 and was upto 01-09-1994. For marriage the 2nd (Kutumba) the 5th (Purva Janam Punya or merits of past births) the 7th ( Marriage and Spouse) the 8th (Mangalya) and the 12th (Bed pleasures) are seen. Thus, dasha of Saturn/Jupiter/Mars followed by Rahu are marriage giving dashas leading to the timed predictions.

Transit
In transit the retrograde Jupiter was aspecting the 7th house and also the 8th house of Mangalya and was over the natal Moon. Saturn was in Aquarius and was to enter Pisces soon on 3rd June 1994. From Aquarius it was aspecting the 7th from Moon and in Pisces it was transiting over the natal Jupiter in the 5th house and was also aspecting the 7th from lagna. Rahu, the pratyantar dasha lord was in 1/7 axis, and Venus was transiting in the 7th from Moon. A favourable transit for marriage.

Child Birth
For Child birth, besides favourable dasha, the transit was also favourable with

Saturn on natal 5th lord and 5th house (house of children) and Jupiter (significator or karka for children) the 5th lord aspecting the 5th and 9th.

Char Dasha

The Char dasha showed marriage and the child more clearly. Main rashi dasha was of Gemini from where Dara Karaka (significator of spouse), Mars is in 7th and Putra Karaka (significator for children) in 10th and the antardasha was of Pisces having the Putra Karaka, Jupiter; and from Pisces the Dara Karaka is in the 10th. The dual signs aspect each other and so do the Putra Karaka and Dara Karaka there and also the main rashi dasha and sub rashi dasha.

The predictions could be given with confidence as the horoscope has many combinations given in the classics indicating strong marriage, child promise.
