The advantage of teaching astrology can be outweighed by a great disadvantage also if the knowledge is misused and instead of honest guidance, it becomes a source of exploitation and, the emphasis is on upayas or pariharams as south Indian call it.
Inspite of that danger, the great advantage has been that racketeers get exposed and in course of time they will be dragged to consumer courts. That will take time and the first to be punished will be the crooks who talk of the non existent Kaal Sarpa Yoga and next the other upachayacharyas.
I am bringing out a book in Hindi with an excellent compilation of more than forty excellent predictions given by students who passed from the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, New Delhi, over a period of many years and have been giving amazingly excellent predictions to many people, some friends and even their family members. The decision for the book to be in Hindi is dictated by the fact that next to south India, it is the Hindi speaking area which is the fertile ground for the gullible victims of crooked astrologers particulaly Delhi, Punjab and Haryana.
I make it clear to many people including students that three types of fools get misled by an astrologer’s claims.
Fools galore consulting astrologers
The first is the fool who calls himself a scientist, never studies astrology but attacks it particularly if he gets a chance to participate in a televison debate conducted by a stupid anchor, mostly a woman. The trend continues inspite of all these scientists and “rationalists” patronised by a well known journalist since 1996 when the government run Doordarshan carried his irrational presentation, having lost their case against astrology in three courts in India, first Madras, then Hyderabad and finally in the Supreme Court of India where I was the only astrologer to demolish all their arguments. In the Supreme Court the case was heard on merit and we have buried these critics deep in a grave now. But the television stupidity continues.
The second is the fool who thinks that the moment an astrologer looks at your horoscopes, he “sees” everything about you, the past, present and the future and can reel off correct predictions about anything and everything.
The third fool, very large in numbers and mostly women and businessmen fall into this category, thinks that the astrologer can change your fate through upayas or pariharas.
Taught in the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan
Some honest and brilliant students of astrology who studied astrology in the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan have been predicting and guiding brilliantly, remain unpublicised because they are non professionals and are busy with their jobs or business. I have more than five hundred such instances with me now and am happy that the expected revival of astrology is slow but brilliant and scientific.
Self taught astrologers
To this category can be added some cases of some self taught astrologers, two of them distinguished in Bombay giving even television programmes and one of them, a woman, goes even to Pakistan others to Abu Dhabi etc.
One such self taught astrologer in Calcutta who buys all my books and of others of the Bharatiya Bhawan has been predicting for his friends and particularly his son to whom he is attached as sentimentally as a Hindu father generally is. He wrote to me a letter and gave astrological reasons for his prediction though he had taken the help of a brilliant astrologer who is on the teaching staff of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan---Shri V.P.Goel.
Some years ago this Calcutta gentleman had asked me for the career guidance of his son and I had told him that he would go into communications, journalism, radio, television etc. I had displayed it on the website with his letter also. This time I was surprised as he himself did the astrological exercise and predicted for his son.
Read that letter, see the horoscope.

Respected Rao Saheb,
Pranam .
Time to time I use to send my Feedback to you regarding your books/predictions/techniques of astrological predictions explained in your
books.
Here is the latest one as per your book on 'Predicting through Jaimini Char Dasha' My son Abhishek underwent a very difficult period of Physical,Mental, Emotional & Financial hazards during May 2008 to October 2008. He was working as a Radio Jockey [RJ] in a renowned radio station. The extremely disturbing
condition was thrashing him and in the meantime he got his right ankle/leg fractured on 20thMay 2008.A weak ago some bike rider also collided him leaving behind some injuries.
Next came the worst : he was forced to resign on account of his long absence but it was just a garb but actually it was out of office politics and sheer jealousy as he was so popular and famous among the audience. Now comes the miraculous blessings of Almighty : he got a chance in the same capacity as an RJ in another radio station for which he had been initially trying but of no avail. He joined here in November 2008.
Seeing his mercury in the Mrityubhag ,the Jup-Sun-Mer starting in May 2008 upto mid June 2008 and Cancer-Sagittarius of Jamini Char Dasha from May 2008 --- I had sent my wife in advance to stay along with my son so that if anything happens at least she would be there.
I did use some other planetary factors too but specifically the mentioned
ones. Abhishek's Birth data is : 04-11-1983,Friday,Deepawali,13.40 p.m.
Jamshedpur[Jharkhand]
You have rightly written in your said book that Sagittarius period/subperiod is a period of ailments, accidents and fall but you have categorically mentioned one more and important thing that this Sagittarius is not a sign of Fall only but of Rise too. This exactly happened in the case of my son. Of course other factors were also there but Jaimini Char Dasha definitely indicated the pattern.
One more very Important thing :Sri V.P.Goyel,a brilliant astrologer, effectively & affectionately guided me and my family during these hard times. I Thank him too for his kind support.
Thanks & Regards
O. P. Singh
