Some people had hoped that the BJP would symbolize the true secularism, the gift of the glorious civilization of ancient India with its realization of Truth being One but the Paths being different. India alone has practiced truest secularism, allowing the refugees of all tormented followers of other religions, Jews, Zoarstrians or even trading Muslims to build their religious places and practice them in those middle ages when the proselyting religions, based on one book one prophet obsession, had created hordes of barbarians destroying the religious places of other religions and killing adherents of other religions, raping their women and converting them through threat and monetary incentives. Time has come to discard the hypocritical secularism of the Congress (remember Nehru and the Hindu Code Bill and Rajiv Gandhi and Shah Bano case) and show to the world that secularism is not atheism, not discarding of religion, but acceptance of multiple approaches to Cosmic truth, tolerance of difference of opinion, not irrational rigid uniformity of “our path alone is correct” or is that “last prophet” alone etc...... and Arab imperialism.

For last few decades we have been witnessing some serious health issues which may prove fatal and seem to be the result of advancements in modern science and consequent changes in our life style, directly or indirectly. Naturally, some questions arise. Can these issues be explained astrologically? Were there no such combinations in the horoscopes of our ancestors? And finally, are there any astrological remedies available to save the human beings? The answer lies in the fact that nothing in this world happens without the will of the Almighty and astrology is His way of indicating trends of such happenings. While interpreting wisdom of the seers in modern context, we should keep in mind the basic premise of Desh, Kaal and Paatra. Regarding astrological remedies, no generalized answer can be given.
Cancer is one such most dreaded health malady of modern times. We will try to answer the above questions through a case study of 'Brain Cancer'. It is a typical case of a MBBS doctor who was suddenly diagnosed of a malignant brain tumor in 2nd week of Dec 2009 and was operated on 28th December 2009, now undergoing follow up treatment. His condition is still critical. Data of the native is as follows:
Date of birth - 7.5.1960; Time of birth - 13:05; Place of birth - Itarsi, India (77E45, 22N37) Vimshottari dasha at birth was Sun-Jupiter.
I will broadly outline major afflictions on the basis of Rashi and Navamsha chart and will leave rest to readers, especially as these modern maladies do not find matching mentions in astrological classics and require further research. Now have a look at his Rashi and Navamsha charts:
Jupiter-Sun operates from August 2009 to May 2010. First see the dangerous affliction to Moon in 2/12 axis threatening the very existence of life. Then see the exalted lagna lord which will try to thwart such risk to life. This lagna lord the Sun has shifted to 10th house in bhava chart forming a 6/8 relationship with Jupiter. Now notice dasha of Sun-Jupiter at birth and Jup-Sun at the time of illness. Do you see any meaning into it? Have a glance at Navamsha and see afflictions to the Sun. Mutual disposition of Jupiter and Sun is 6/8 here too. What better could be expected in the dasha of a retrograde 8th lord and antardasha of an afflicted lagna lord? Further, try to identify 22nd Drekkana, a well know parameter of Parashara for fatality. You will find that dasha is of lord of 22nd Drekkana. What may be the apprehension in coming antardasha of Moon, Mars and Rahu when Mars and Ketu both are situated in 22nd Drekkana afflicting the Moon severely?
Now see it from Jaimini angle. Corresponding Chara dasha (as given by Shri K.N.Rao) is Taurus-Pisces. Dasha Rashi Taurus is 6th from Pada Lagna. Atmakaraka (AK) Saturn is in the 8th from Taurus afflicted by Gnathikaraka (GK) Mars, Rahu and Ketu. Pisces contain GK Mars and Ketu, further afflicted by Rahu and Saturn. This is a neat (and brief) explanation.
Now why Cancer? Mars and Ketu indicate Vrana or the tumor and in the 8th, it might be the reason of death. Further, concentrate on insect signs specially Scorpio, I suggest. Again why it involved 'Brain'? Try to correlate Rashi with afflicted lagna factors. In our case, lagna lord the Sun is suffering in Aries (head) Rashi and Scorpio (Cancer) Navamsha. Is this not a classical justification for cancer? People with insight into astrology may find the story further illuminating. Those who know Kaal Chakra dasha may try it.
Now a bit non-astrological: The native in question is a man free from vices, has a disciplined life and used to do some light physical exercise daily. What may be the reason of contracting such a dreaded disease? In my opinion, the only possibility seems to be long and sustained use of 'cell phone' which he has since introduction of mobile phones in India. It is a must for his profession he being a M.B.B.S and DCH in private practice for more than 20 years. Therefore, it is pretty clear that all events or happenings in our life have some physical reason (cause-effect relationship) too but our destiny affords all those physical reasons in order to give our life the desired shape. Still, one can be advised to stay away from these modern 'vices in disguise' and on falling victim to it follow the harmless classical remedies like mantras etc.
